The Bible
We believe the
Bible is God’s INSPIRED Word…all 66 Books of the Old and New Testaments (2 Tim.
3:16). We believe God ‘moved’ the Bible
writers to put the very Words He wanted written (2 Pet. 1:21) in these 66 Books
of the Bible. We believe these Words of
Scripture are without error or mistake (Matt. 5:18, 19). We believe this to be true whether the Bible
speaks of science, history, medically, or whatever…The Bible is perfectly
accurate. Supposed ‘mistakes’ are not
mistakes at all. While the ‘original’
materials that the Bible writers penned the WORDS upon are no longer with us,
we believe that God was able to and certainly did…PRESERVE these very inspired
words down thru the centuries so that we can be sure that we still have God’s
perfect INSPIRED Word TODAY (Psa. 12:6-9)!
We believe that the
King James Version is God’s Preserved Word in the English language for us
today. The Manuscript family behind the
King James Bible can be traced back to Bible days (Isa. 40:8), while the Manuscript
family behind the newer Bible versions today (such as the NIV, NASB, NKJV) can
be traced only back to about the 2nd century…to Alexandria,
Egypt…the hotbed of heresy led by Origin…who did not believe in the deity of
Christ. The King James Version
Manuscript family, known as the Antiochian or Byzantine text, can be traced
back to Antioch (Where the followers of Jesus were first called Christians)
(Acts 11:26). These 2 main Manuscript
families are so different…Scholars can easily place them in either of the 2
Manuscript families, because these Manuscript families differ in over 6000
places involving over 10,000 words! We
believe the Catholic Bibles and all the newer versions, which, by the way, all
come from these Alexandrian Manuscripts…have been altered in many verses
and actually teach false doctrine in many places as we will show shortly…and
that this is Satan’s attempt to confuse new Christians today and make it more
difficult for the new convert to become grounded in the Truths of the Bible!
For example, in
Isaiah 14:12 the KJV speaks of Lucifer and how he fell and became the
devil! The NIV takes Lucifer completely
out of this verse (the only reference to Lucifer in the Bible) and
substitutes the ‘morning star” as the one who fell and weakened the
nations! Rev. 22:16 tells us that the
Morning Star is Jesus! There is
no Lucifer in the NIV!
While the KJV says
in Matt. 7:14 that there is only one-way to be saved…Thru Jesus Christ…when it
says “Narrow is the gate”…The NKJV changes the verse to say “DIFFICULT is the
way which leads to life”. My friends,
can you imagine telling a child it is ‘difficult’ to be saved!
The NIV teaches
that Jesus was a SINNER! Compare Matt.
5:22 in the KJV where it says ‘whosoever is angry with his brother without a
cause shall be endanger of judgment’…the NIV omits the crucial phrase
‘without a cause’! Mark 3:5 says that
Jesus ‘looked…on them with ANGER’ when the Pharisees criticized Him for healing
a man on the Sabbath. Was Jesus a
sinner?
Did you know that
the NIV teaches that a Believer can LOSE salvation after he has trusted
Christ? 2 Timothy 2:12 in the KJV says
‘if we deny Him, He will deny us’ and refers to REWARDS. If we don’t serve Jesus with the
opportunities we are given during this lifetime, we will be denied acclaim and
reward by Jesus when we do get to heaven.
The NIV changes the verse to read ‘IF WE DISOWN Him, He will DISOWN
us’! My friend, Christ will never
disown one of His Children!
Did you realize
that the NIV & NKJV teaches that we ARE BEING SAVED by our works and
performance, rather than as a once and for all FREE GIFT? 2 Cor. 2:15 says ‘them that ARE
saved’ in the KJV, but the NKJV changes that to read ‘those who ARE BEING
SAVED’! My friend, we are NOT BEING
SAVED! We were saved the moment we
trusted Christ! 1 Cor. 1:18 (KJV) says
‘unto us which ARE saved’…while the NIV changes the verse to read ‘but
to us who are being saved! My
friend, we have a complete Study on this subject available at the Gospel
Center, these mentioned here are only but a few of the changes.
Rev. 22:18, 19
teaches there will be serious consequences to those who tamper with God’s
Word. We believe that Believers who are
guilty of promoting these newer Bible versions will lose certain rewards and
privileges in heaven according to these verses. My friend, The King James Bible today provides all of the
information and guidance we need to live our daily life! (2 Timothy 3:15-17) It deals with every
problem in life we could face! It is
our duty to study God’s Word (2 Tim. 2:15) and not to be led astray into false
doctrine and teaching so we will not be ashamed some day! Satan has tried to corrupt God’s Word since
the earliest time, and we believe he is trying to do it today with the newer
Bible versions. Stick with the trusted,
reliable King James Bible!
