'An Independent Baptist Church' Jesus ChristWe believe Jesus
Christ is God…The Jehovah God of the Old Testament…He is the One Who created
the heavens and the earth (Col. 1:15-17).
He, as God, had no beginning in eternity, but has always existed as
God. At the proper point in time, God
took on voluntarily the form of a human baby (Phil. 2:5-8) as He was born of a
virgin (Isa. 7:14). He lived a sinless
life in a human body (Heb. 4:15; 7:15) and died on the cross as He shed His
Blood for our sins (Rom. 5:8,9). He
rose bodily from the grave 3 days later (John 11:25) and ascended to heaven,
where He is now (Acts 1:9-11) interceding for us. He will return to this earth physically to rapture His Church (1
Thess. 4:13-17) before the, 7 year Tribulation on earth begins. He will actually touch down on earth 7 years
later to set up His Kingdom on this earth for thousands of years. We will then spend eternity with the Lord on
the final heaven, which will be headquartered on this new earth. Could Jesus have
sinned while He was on earth? No. We believe in the Impeccability of
Christ…Since He was God it was not possible for Him to sin, because God cannot
sin. |
